Privacy film
Privacy film

Privacy without closing up.

Frosted and decorative film provides privacy without blocking natural light or changing how your space feels.

The problem

Street-facing ground floor windows, office conference rooms, bathroom glass, and entry sidelights all present privacy challenges that curtains solve poorly: they block light, require operation, and look closed-off.

The solution

Frosted privacy film diffuses light, making the glass translucent rather than transparent. One-way mirror film uses a reflective coating to prevent outsiders from seeing in while maintaining your outward view during the day. Decorative film can match any aesthetic.

What you get

Benefits

Natural light preserved

Frosted film transmits light while blocking the view through the glass. Rooms stay bright without being exposed.

Street-facing windows

Ground-floor living rooms and dining rooms overlooking busy streets are privatized without curtains.

Bathroom glass

Shower enclosures and bathroom windows treated permanently. No blinds that warp or mold.

Office and conference rooms

Glass conference rooms become private with frosted film, with custom branding options available.

Entry sidelights and transoms

Front-door glass that lets in light but exposes the interior is a common request. Partial-coverage frosted film solves it cleanly.

Removable and updateable

Unlike sandblasted or etched glass, decorative film can be removed and replaced when your needs or style change.

Questions

Frequently asked

What is the difference between frosted film and one-way mirror film?
Frosted film diffuses light in both directions. One-way mirror film is reflective on the outside during daylight, letting you see out while preventing others from seeing in. At night when interior lights are on, one-way film reverses and provides less privacy.
Can privacy film be applied to just part of a window?
Yes. Partial-height frosted film is very common, typically applied to the bottom 36-48 inches of a window to prevent view-through at eye level while keeping the upper portion clear.
How does privacy film compare to etched glass?
Privacy film looks nearly identical to etched or sandblasted glass. It costs a fraction of glass replacement or etching, can be removed or changed, and installs in hours.
Does privacy film reduce heat and UV?
Yes. All window films block 99%+ of UV. Frosted films also reduce solar heat gain. The primary purpose is privacy, but the energy and UV benefits are included.
